At The Garden, all servant leaders are considered Door Holders — not just those who literally hold physical doors! No matter what role you play, we all share the same heartbeat to use the gifts God’s given us so that others may experience Jesus.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a [door holder] in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
That We May
We want to exceed expectations, serving in the power of God’s spirit and with the joy that He gives. We are followers of Jesus, therefore our desire to serve is big and no role is too small. Serving in His House is not a pain, it’s a privilege. We bring our best. We are proactive, and we take initiative. Because Jesus brings change, we embrace flexibility.
Serving is not optional for Jesus people. Serving is the Jesus way.
Where Can I Serve?
Bloom
Our kids environment allows for parents to be fully present in a gathering knowing their child is in a safe and loving environment. There are opportunities to lead kids to Jesus through weekly teachings, music, large group games, small group discussions, and more.
Creative
Join us in telling the story, in a creative way, of how Jesus is working in and through our House. There are lots of different ways this is done - through our environments, photography, social media, and more.
Hospitality
Create a welcoming environment for everyone who comes through our doors. There are opportunities to serve as a greeter, coffee, etc.
Security
Help provide a safe and distraction-free environment for all and capable of handling medical incidents or emergencies that occur.
Parking
Eagerly and happily engage with guests as the first point of contact for Passion City Church, as well as the last goodbye as they depart. Help provide direction in the parking lot and manage the flow of traffic.
Students
Invest in the next generation with us as we meet for worship, teaching, games, and more. There is an additional application process for this team and may be sent along after your initial Door Holder application is received.
Production
Responsible for lighting, audio, and video production for each gathering. We help to create a unique worship experience for guests, both in the room and those joining us online. No previous production experience is required.
Worship
Create a worshipful environment where we can shift our focus to God and lift up the name of Jesus. There is an additional application process for this team and may be sent along after your initial Door Holder application is received.
Setup + Teardown
Transform ordinary spaces into places where people can encounter Jesus. From unloading trailers and setting up signs, kids' environments, and worship spaces to packing everything away after service, this team makes Sundays happen.

After you apply, you will hear from your specific Team Lead regarding details and training. Some teams will require a background check and additional interview processes before training can be scheduled. Once you have completed training you will be scheduled to serve!

Each Team operates on a specific rotation cycle. We want you to find your balance of serving and attending here at The Garden. You are also able to block out dates that you are unavailable to serve because of previous plans or travel.

We want you to be fully present while serving and fully present while attending! So this means we prefer that you serve at a gathering and attend a gathering.
